After I lost most of the high frequencies in my left ear during a twelve-hour marathon at Dance Valley I got my first pair of ear plugs. To be honest, they sucked. This was back in the early nineties, when good filters were hard to come by. Over the years you learn more on how these little buds in your ear work and where you will the best protection. Since I discovered Earproof I know how much difference good, custom made plugs make over bad ones. Within five minutes after plugging in my Earproof Performer 15 dB, I have forgotten I put them in. They are comfy and do the trick for hours on end. Oh, and those high frequencies in my left ear? They returned in the end. For the most part, that is.
